DENISON HEAD START

 

PROGRAM

WCCA is seeking an Associate Teacher for Denison Head Start Program. Position duties include assisting teacher in planning, volunteer recruitment, classroom activities, home visits, reporting, and other activities.  Candidates be an appropriate role model for children, staff and parents and will be responsible for exhibiting good communication, problem solving and overall positive attitude. The Associate Teacher is also responsible for supporting Teacher in the care and development of up to twenty children.

 

Associate Teachers must have the ability to work with children and families from various cultural, economic & social backgrounds.  High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, dependable transportation and auto liability insurance are required. 

 

This is a 40-hour per week, 50-week per year position.  An Associate Teacher requires a CDA or AA/AS degree with one-year experience working with preschool children. We will consider High School or GED who will work towards a CDA or AA/AS degree and prefer bilingual candidates for this position.
