For Immediate Release
June 1, 2010
Iowa Community Action Association Launches New Website & Marketing Program
Iowa Community Action Association (ICAA) has launched a new website and marketing program in association with its member agencies and partners across the state at www.IowaCommunityAction.org that offers a wide range of features, tools and resources for Iowa Community Action Agencies to better serve and communicate with its local audiences. Visitors can learn about each of the member agencies across the state, explore news & events, learn about and apply for available programs and services, access reports and statistics, apply for job opportunities, view photo galleries, watch streaming videos, donate to local agencies, explore volunteer opportunities, sign up for the ICAA email newsletter, join social media initiatives, and more. The interactive agency map and navigation menus allow visitors to easily find their local agency and community resources, and browse the entire site based on the local agency or community selected.
The site also features expansion capabilities for each local Iowa Community Action Agency to manage content and resources for Iowa residents, businesses and legislators to easily find local programs & services, data & statistics, media, news & press, and events specific to their local community. The site also provides advanced ARRA reporting, social marketing, email marketing and newsletters, improved search engine optimization, and additional web-based applications for content management & formatting, event registration, searching & sorting, and member-only content and tools. The site launch is a major step leading up to ICAA's Summer 2010 Conference, where an in-depth post-launch training workshop will be held to help agencies gain the most value from this exciting new opportunity. There is an interactive conference registration form and reporting tool available from the home page of the new website. ICAA's integrated web and marketing program will continue to expand throughout the months and years ahead to improve awareness and provide greater synergy for Iowa Community Action programs, services and initiatives.
ICAA is also providing ongoing training workshops, tutorials, content management tools, communication plans, and ongoing support to effectively manage the program in collaboration with AdEasel, an Iowa-based web and marketing agency. The new site will serve as a portal for all member agencies and Iowa Communities that can be easily managed and updated by agency staff and volunteers. Agency representatives have commented that the new tools and website are very easy-to-use and are a great tool for providing up-to-date information to their local communities. All Iowa Community Action Agencies have been adding content to the new website over the past weeks leading up to the site launch, and will be expanding the content and resources over the coming months by adding more news, events, reports, jobs, volunteer opportunities, photos, and videos.
