Leonard Pitts, Jr. was interviewed by the Des Moines register while he was in town for the ICAA 2010 Training Conference where he served as the keynote speaker. 

The inteview discusses Mr. Pitts' views on chronically poor people who often go unseen by the mainstream media and our entertainment culture.  

Other issues covered include what it takes to unite poor classes as a voting block as well as the role that community action agencies play in our ongoing effort to support impoverished families and individuals across the country.
