Welcome to ICAA
Welcome to the Iowa Community Action Association (ICAA) website! I hope you find this site to be helpful to you by providing the information you need.
There are eighteen agencies serving families living in all ninety-nine counties of Iowa. The services vary from agency to agency, but staff members from all eighteen agencies are committed to helping families and changing lives. You can find a map showing each agency’s service area and you will also find contact information for each agency under the member agencies tab.
You can also learn more about the opportunities we have to offer to families under the “Key Programs” tab. We are proud of our history (which is described in greater detail under the “About Us” tab) and very excited about our future as we strive to reduce poverty and improve the lives of all people living in America, especially children and families currently living in poverty.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) included funding for Iowa community action agencies for the Weatherization Program and the Community Service Block Grant. Go to the All About ARRA tab to read about the progress agencies are making in the programs that are being delivered to families, thanks to the ARRA funding. Also included under the All About ARRA tab are some stories from newly hired employees and thank you letters from families who have been the beneficiary of Weatherization services.
