Health Services - Family Planning Program
VISION
Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation Health Services Family Planning seeks a world in which:

- every individual has access to medically accurate, scientific based and comprehensive reproductive health information
MISSION STATEMENT
Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation Health Services Family Planning seeks to:
- provide all persons quality, confidential, affordable reproductive and related health care services
- provide comprehensive sexuality education and serve as a community resource for sexuality education
- advocate public policies which guarantee the right to obtain and have access to reproductive health care services and sexuality education
- ensure an environment that affirms freedom of reproductive choice and exercise of the individual conscience
Areas Served: Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek counties
The Family Planning Program at NEICAC is a Title X funded delegate of the Iowa Department of Public Health. Title X is the Federal Health & Human Services funding for voluntary Family Planning services.
Services are provided to females and males of child bearing age. Clients may obtain a physical exam including: pelvic, PAP, and breast exams for females and physical exam including testicular exam for males. Other screening services include STD testing-Chlamydia, Gonnorhea, and Herpes, blood pressure, Hemoglobin testing, pregnancy testing, and diabetes screening. Education is provided on abstinence, birth control methods, sexual health, avoidance of risky behaviors, preconception health, avoidance of coercion for sexual activity, infertility, and natural family planning.
Fees: All income levels are served. Services are provided at a reduced fee. We bill Medicaid and private insurance for services.
Outreach: Staff is available to provide community and school presentations related to reproductive health to increase the awareness of Family Planning in Northeast Iowa.
